Lions Lose a Tough One to the Arizona Scorpions in the Spring Season Finale
Phoenix AZ, Sat May 2nd: The stage was set for a positive ending to a tough 2015
APFL Spring Season. Less than 8 minutes to play in the game, tied 6-6, and the
Lions driving for a potential score to take the lead in a hard fought game, round
two of the Scorpions Vs Lions.
With an improved defensive scheme and hard fought determination under the
scorching Arizona sun (95 degrees at kick-off), both teams seem to refuse to yield
and simply waited for the other guy to blink. Unfortunately, it was the Lions.
Within minutes, after turnovers and quick scores, the Arizona Scorpions (2-2)
pulled out a 28-6 win over the Lions (0-4), each team completing their inaugural
Five Star Sports & Entertainment, AAA Professional Football League regular
season.
For the Scorpions, it was their second win of the season, and now having to await
the outcome of the season finale of the So Cal Coyotes (3-0) and California Sharks
(2-1) game, being played on Sunday May 3rd in Oceanside, CA, to determine if they
will move on to the Championship game May 16th in Palm Springs, Ca.
For the Lions ownership and administrative staff, it’s time to evaluate the 2015
Spring Season and get ready for the expanded 2015 APFL Fall Season.
Stay tuned.
