The Vegas Lions Announce Corporate Partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada!
Today the Lions announced another corporate partnership with one of Southern Nevada’s largest non-profit organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada is Las Vegas’ largest donor and volunteer supported youth mentoring network. The organization has provided over 20,000 mentors to local youth since 1973. There are currently over 500 kids on their waitlist, simply waiting for a mentor. Over 90% of those kids are boys.
If you are a guy, or know of a guy who would make a great mentor, consider volunteering just 4 hours a month to help make a positive impact on the life of a child. All it takes is you hanging out with your “Little” and doing fun things like watching a football game or tossing a ball around at a local park. It’s really as easy as you being you! Welcome to the team!!!! #APFL #JoinThePride #PrideofLasVegas

The Vegas Lions' Care - Jillian's Story

Jillian Moore is 3 years old and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer on July 11, 2013. She has completed two rounds of chemotherapy so far and has endured a bone marrow biopsy, blood transfusions, nausea, hair loss, injections, and numerous surgical procedures. She has remained upbeat and energetic during this fight but her battle has just begun.
UPDATE! As of April 2014, little Jillian is cancer free, with no evidence of the disease! However the battle continues with Immunotherapy.
Visit www.jilliansarmy.com for frequent updates on Jillian's condition and for information on fundraising events and items for sale. The Moore family thanks everyone for their support and enlisting in Jillian's Army. Salute!
The Vegas Lions are proud to have enlisted in Jillian's Army!
